I send homework out on Monday and it is due on Friday. Their homework consists of the following:

reading
1) read a library book nightly and complete the reading log
2) read the basal story at least once with a parent
3) review vocabulary words

spelling
1) complete the spelling tic-tac-toe activity (see attached)
2) review words for test with letter tiles

math
1) review workbook page each night (I don't send home actual math homework, but I do ask parents to go over the math page from that day .. we have envisions)

language
1) review Shurley jingles
2) complete Shurley practice sentences

The students also get study guides for any up coming tests in science, Shurley English, or social studies.
