Clip to ScrapBook #9

I feel that we all have certain grade levels that we're comfortable with and some that we're not. For instance, I'll beg on a street corner before I go back to high school.

Just wanted to share something interesting I've figured out about kinder at my school. I've subbed there for 9 years now and I've seen that even if I only sub in a kid's kinder class for one day....they remember that all the way through 4th grade. I frequently have 4th graders come up and say "I remember when you subbed for Mrs. So and so when I was in kindergarten!" Never mind the fact that I probably subbed for their pre-k, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade teachers too!

Maybe it stands out to them because in kinder you're still a "stranger". After a little while together they see that you're ok. In pre-k, they still have their aide so they don't feel so abandoned when there's a sub.
