Clip to ScrapBook #6

I teach 2 groups ELA, the other half of the day they are with a teacher who does math, sci, and SS in Spanish. Our kids have desk boxes, and I have a place to store boxes from the other class, so I use bags. If I didn't have the desk boxes, I would have a crate (Walmart, color coded) for each class. Then they could stack on top of one another, and just the current class would be on top and available. It would be simple to assign a student to switch the crates at the beginning of each class. If you want to make it even easier on yourself, and depending on the size of your classes, each student could have a hanging folder (the kind with a larger bottom) to put their bag in.

Something I did notice was that with 60 kids, my classroom library was pretty empty! I had to decrease the number of books in bags so there was something to select from.
