I have a very disruptive student. Pretty sure he is autistic and ADHD. His guardians (grandparents) that he calls mom and dad, don’t want him labeled so they will not get a diagnosis/help/services. He is not getting what he needs and he is making the rest of my students suffer and me suffer. He wants constant attention and so makes strange noises, talks too loud, laughs too loud, gets in everyone’s space, interrupts, fights at recess, screams and yells. I am living in hell this year! On top of that I have too other autistic students and three students with Tourette. Another little girl with Hydrocephalus and she has a condition with that called “cocktail party syndrome” where she talks constantly about only odd surface subjects. I am a gen Ed teacher with only one semester of spec Ed. No help at all in my class.
