I tried the 504 route. He does not have any diagnosis of anything because of them not wanting him labeled, so I couldn’t get that. I had him tested for Spec Ed, speech, physical disability, I thought maybe even if I could get something like he holds his pencil wrong, nothing. They won’t give me a para if he doesn’t qualify for anything. I had our school psychologist come observe him and he said definitely he is autistic and severe ADHD. He is at least grade level in reading and very close in everything else. The best I can do right now is have him on an RTI plan for math. My principal sucks, no help there.
