I had to buy a new MacBook back in February when *someone* in my house spilled coffee on it and it died. It was 8 years old, so it wasn't the worst thing ever, but I did have to go to the store and buy one that day. I ended up getting the Pro - it's been a champ during distance learning (with the help of a second monitor). I thought the Touch Bar was dumb and wouldn't ever use it... but I end up using it often, even with an external keyboard connected.
