Ah, lucky. We have a remote day as 2020 ruined snow days as well. I was glad I didn't have to drive in the snow, but I am so sad for the end of real snow days. Luckily, today was an IEP meeting day for me, so I didn't have to switch gears with instruction. The meetings were via zoom anyway so we're just carrying on as normal. Five meetings though, so no real extra "free time" over a normal day either. This is my 30 minute lunch.
I'm very curious to hear how many kids are actually showing up for remote learning. On our most recent work day, I made a day of "snow day plans" that were just review so that I could pull them out and not have to plan anything extra at the last minute. Many of our teachers are driving themselves crazy trying to do a "regular" day teaching what they would have in person, with notice given at 11 PM. Nope, not doing it.
