convergence insufficiency

I have a child diagnosed with convergence insufficiency. Wondering if you have any suggestions in helping this kiddo with reading. I understand there is vision therapy with an eye specialist, but the mom is wondering what else she can do to help with her reading. Is there something specific or different that anyone out there has found to be helpful to a child with this problem?
