It is annoying when a sub cancels at the last minute. It happened to me once or twice when I was teaching. It didn't bother me all that much. I figured that I did my job by getting my leave approved and notifying school that I wouldn't be there on a particular day.

I had no control over whether a sub canceled the assignment. It was up to the school, and not me, to find coverage for my students if a sub canceled.
