I would check into other cabins. There are so many in that area you should be able to find something. If you like B&B's there is an awesome B&B in Bryson City - Hemlock Inn. I have been there many times, it is quiet and near the Appalachian Trail.
Also, you should be able to get your deposit back since you did not cause this problem.
