Just before the first day of in-person classes, I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of jobs show up. There are a lot less subs than usual this year, and demand for subs will be high. As long as you are "offered employment" meaning jobs are available to you, do not count on unemployment continuing. At least here in NJ, we are required to answer the question "Did You Turn Down Any Job Offers This Week" every week when certifying for benefits. Therefore if we ignore an Aesop job for THAT particular week, we are technically declining a job offer and it could affect unemployment. Would unemployment find out about it? Well, they easily could if they do simple research to see if the school district you work for reopened.
UI will not carry you forever and it is not something to depend on. Sooner or later, virus or no virus, we all have to return to some kind of work (unless you are retired or on DI)
