Your job stinks. I’m so sorry you have to deal with that.

But now for solutions:
- go to Walmart, furniture stores like Ashley’s, or goodwill. As if they have a scratched and dented, as is, or floor model they’d be willing to donate. (You can also check Facebook marketplace.)
-manage behavior before educating. Engage students with a variety of activities that are learning disguised as fun. Slime or Oobleck was a great suggestion from a PP. No bake cookies and cinnamon ornaments are other good and inexpensive ideas. You can also try some service projects depending on how difficult your students are. Sometimes workshop type activities like tie blankets or assembling ornaments are good ways to engage.
