I've been visiting our county library this summer for that exact purpose and browsing the shelves. You might want to check out the children's non-fiction section. You'd be surprised what you'll find. I have started a list of books on my website, but it is down for maintenance right now. I'd love to collaborate with others on this topic. I teach 4th & 5th so my focus might be a little different.
