Clip to ScrapBook #7

I've been visiting our county library this summer for that exact purpose and browsing the shelves. You might want to check out the children's non-fiction section. You'd be surprised what you'll find. I have started a list of books on my website, but it is down for maintenance right now. I'd love to collaborate with others on this topic. I teach 4th & 5th so my focus might be a little different.
Here are some titles from my discussion board.
"Seeing the Elephant: A Story of the Civil War" by Pat Hughes
"I Am America" by Charles R. Smith, Jr.
"John, Paul, George, & Ben" by Lane Smith
"I Want to be Free" by Joseph Slate
"Marshall, the Courthouse Mouse" by Peter Barnes (Topic: government & judicial branch)
