I think informals can have multiple purposes, in no particular order:

1) See what/how you’re doing, even as a simple wellness check.
2) see how you’re teaching and emailing/telling you constructive feedback.
3) whole-team general walkthroughs, to see trends (most teachers aren’t providing enough rigor, everyone has engaging activities, etc.
4) observing students’ behaviors.
5) observing parents.
