Ohio is a lead state for the Next Gen Science standards so I would expect them to be adopting them next year since they are now finalized. Adoption does not mean implementation though. If I had to guess I would expect adoption 2013-2014 and implementation 2014-2015. We're in the same boat in NC and that is what I'm anticipating.
