Clip to ScrapBook #7

of treating yourself to an interview outfit (or even just a new blouse or piece of jewelry--in a teacher salary price, of course). Spend some time reviewing the school's numbers (population, achievement, drive the neighborhood again, etc) so you can express the strengths you bring to that particular school. It's lucky you are already familiar with it, but an extra look never hurts, it's good to have their info in the front of your brain.

Look over their programs if you get a chance to be able to say how you might use them, be familiar with parts of them, etc. You might do some quick thoughts on how to answer some of the usual questions.

Then do something else. Visit your therapist, go to a movie, read a good book, take a long walk. So you are fresh for the interview.

Give the interview your best shot and realize that you can only control so much and don't really know any agendas the interview committee might have. So have a bit of distraction after as well.

I wish you well. The job search is stressful for all of us.
