Clip to ScrapBook #5

I did this for Father's Day, but it would work for any gift giving occasion. I had kids make photo frames from CD jewel cases. My husband keeps his music CDs in a padded case, so he has no use for the plastic containers. Your recycling center may provide some, too.

Decorate the inside with a drawing or painting, leaving an opening for the photo. You can also use T-shirt paints that come in those little squeezy tubes. Open the case and apply lines, dots, squiggles, etc., being sure to leave an open area for the photo. Close the case (painted side down) until the paint dries. This will take about twelve hours.

You can use their school pictures, or take new ones with a digital camera. The finished photo frame will stand alone when open, or attach magnet strips to the back for displaying on a fridge or file cabinet. Making the frames is a great way to save money and landfill space.
