Clip to ScrapBook #12

Our buildings are closed to all but custodians. The district is 100% free lunch, so breakfasts and lunches are available for pick-up each day at schools well-spaced out throughout the city.

As for elementary schools, large worksheet packets (made by each grade level) were made available at the front door of schools and lunch locations during the first week. Activities for every grade and free internet resources are posted on the district website. Nothing will be collected or graded. Many teachers are uploading video lessons that any child in the district can watch. Teachers are not doing individual classroom lessons online, but they can add resources to the district website at any time.

Some kids do not have computers with internet, but just about every parent has a smart phone to check the activities. One internet company is offering a really cheap plan for low-income families too. Also the super told the parents in an all-call message to contact him if they need help getting internet service.
