Lots of variation...

Clip to ScrapBook #16

Since this is managed at the state level... I'm certain there are lots of variations, even within the state. I'm in rural Maine and proud to share that my district (and those in this area) are:
  • Closed in the sense that there is "no school" in the traditional sense of students coming to school.
  • School buildings are closed to the public--teachers and staff are working inside. Deliveries and pickups can be arranged.
  • Teachers are preparing a combination of "online lessons and events" together with take-home packets.
  • Staff are preparing brown bag breakfasts and lunches which are being delivered by regular drivers along bus routes with the packets.
  • Long term activities are being assessed and alternatives are being explored.
  • We are learning to live with uncertainty and working a step at a time.

We are officially "closed" until April 27th.
