Does the other team have a science/social studies block? 75 minutes isn't enough time to focus on everything they need for ELA. Would it be possible to integrate ELA into the Social Studies and Science so these students won't be shortchanged? IMO, you shouldn't be stuck planning for both teams since it's not apples to apples.
