Clip to ScrapBook #1

When you give children copies of the poems you have learned for the month (week, unit, etc...), do you put them in a poetry notebook or folder that stays at school or do you put them in one that the children keep at home? I have been putting them in binders at the end of the month for the children to take home to practice...but I'm questioning that practice. I don't feel like I can be sure they really are reading these with an adult, unless I add some kind of recording sheet where they write down who they read with and what poems they read. I'm leaning toward having them keep the binders at school so they can practice during independent reading. Any thoughts or suggestions?
