Has anyone taken the IL Basic Skills Test within the last year? Wondering if the actual test was changed or just the percentage you must pass with? Any tips to studying for this???? I have to take it to get another certificiate - I've been teaching for 19 years and was grandfathered into the system and never had to take any of the tests....HELP! I am very nervous...

I took the test in 2008 but I think the content is the same they just put a limit on how many attempts you can have on the test which is 5. You still need a 240 as a minimum. I focused my studying on the math section because that is my weakest area and you are not allowed to use a calculator. I would also recommened doing the essay first. When I took the test I did that last and my score was a little lower than I liked but I was drained by the end.
