I'm in the process of matching picture books to comprehension skills to teach during mini lessons. Anything that you have used that the kids have liked and learned from? Thanks for your help. If I find anything unique I'll make sure to post the list.

There are many lists on this topic. If you do a search on PT, you can find all kinds of book lists. I'll look in my own files to see if I still have some.

Some books that come to mind for first grade: A Chair For My Mother, Owl Moon, any Leo Lionni books, any Kevin Henkes books.
