Spending some time this weekend looking into buying a new car. i want something good in the snow and gets good mileage. Prefer to be a little higher off the ground. Needs to have lots of leg room (I am tall) and rear seats that fold down.

Open to suggestions.....

Thanks!!

I LOVE my Ford Escape. It gets decent gas mileage, is higer off the ground, and the back seats fold down. I don't know about leg room since I am not even 5 feet tall, but it's worth looking into.

They have all-wheel drive models that are a bit off the ground, but not as high as an SUV.

and Honda CRVs are finally starting to look ok. I don't know about current models, but the older ones have lots of room.

I love my Honda Pilot, but the mileage isn't great.

I love my Pontiac Vibe. I know they're not going to make anymore, but it is a great car. The rear seats fold completley(sp?) flat. I have no idea if it is good in the snow since I'm in Texas.

I have a CRV also and I love it! You can get decent milage with it too. I average 25 mpg. and mine is all city driving. Plus Honda's hold their value so they are actually worth something when you are ready to trade it in.
