I am a 2nd year teacher in a new school and grade. I am pretty much stuck to doing my reading street reading/writing program which is blah and do not want to be evaluated on those lessons.
Does anyone have any good lessons that tie into teamwork and anti bullying.? My Reading street theme is this quarter is teamwork. My writing theme is students have to produce a writing research project where they research a group of people or a person who has helped a group of people today (ie: women, African American's etc) achieve success.
I was thinking with starting with Ruby Bridges as my mentor text , not sure.
Any ideas would be greatly welcomed!
