I've said it before and I'll say it again...I was MADE to not work.

I just spent an hour sorting through 10 totes worth of Christmas stuff for decorating, wrapping, etc... When I was working I'd just throw stuff in a bin that had room for it. Now I can put all the bags, tissue, bows and tags in one bin. The time to organize makes me soooooo happy!

It's also so nice to have a place on pt to revel in the glorious free time that I now enjoy!

I had to be somewhere at 10 today and had trouble getting out the door. Don't know how I ever found the time to go to work.

Hope DH doesn't retire for a while though...

I know! I went to lunch today with a friend who had to take off school for a drs. appointment. I love my free time. Everyone wants to know when I'm going to find a part time job. What?? I'm still on summer vacation and I'm not sure I'll ever want to work again!

DH just retired

I'm in my 3rd year of retirement. Had adjusted quite well....until now. DH just retired and I'm finding it difficult to have him here all the time. Hopefully he will do some consultant work eventually, but at the moment he just wants to do nothing. I miss my 'own' time and having the house to myself during the day if I'm not busy. Any thoughts on how to deal with this new lifestyle?
