Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am doing a lot of of writer's notebooks this year, well trying to any way. The way it was explained through Judy Davis is that kids should be able to write about what they [I]want[I] to
"We can do stuff like that in our writer's notebook?" The answer is yes; the notebook should be discussed as a "storeroom" for future writing topics, and single notebook page's devoted to ideas the students personally found interesting can easily be used as the basis for a longer piece of writing at a later datewrite about but I read this from a teacher's page on ##########.com, a site I use regularly. "

She is implying kids don't always have choice. Now I am tunred all over.
