Gift ideas please!~!~!

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I was really hoping to give a little some to the teachers on my grade level the first day of school and was hoping for some ideas! It is my first year and I am at a brand new school - my grade level is completely amazing (we have met several times throughout the summer to get to know eachother - since it's a new school and all). I wanted to give just a little something to say thanks for being so good to me (being a new teacher can be scary ) and also to wish they a great year...
Any ideas?!?

These stickers were mentioned on another thread. They are personalized and only cost around 2.00 with cheap shipping. I just ordered a set for my co-teachers. The address is http://www.threedoggraphx.com/sticke...sp?tmpOrderID=

One is something I did last year

The other is an M&M idea that I'm doing this year because my team are choco-holics.

Take your pick,

At Christmas I usually make different kinds of cookies or chocolate covered pretzels to give to my buddies. I find some cute bag or basket to put them in. They seem to love it. There is just something about receiving something that is homemade. It means so much.

bamboo and dry erase markers

It is a running joke in our building about how difficult it is to get dry erase markers from our supply room. So when I saw them at Walgreens for a 1.99 a four pack of Expo markers, I jumped on them (literally: the people in the aisle thought I was nuts ) I got a pack for everyone. I also got a nice little bamboo plant for each teacher. They are very easy to take care of and look nice on your desk. I got them for a dollar each at the grocery store and picked up votive holders and stones at the dollar store. They turned out great.

love the m and m letter! We have 8 teachers, so buying the stickers gets a bit costly. Otherwise they are a great idea too!

I thought the stickers were too expensive too, but the link is for the gift sets.

If you go to the menu, and click on the teacher link you can find some for $2.50 for like 63 stickers. I just might have to do it!

How long do they take to ship?

gift basket

I always made gift baskets for teachers in my grade level for back to school.. with simple stuff.. colored pens, cute post-its, a little bottle of goo-gone, stickers... I didn't necessarily use a basket.. you can use any container they can use in their classroom, coffee mug, etc. then wrap with that shrinking clear wrap (I get it at craft stores), tie with some raffia and shrink it up with a hair dryer.. looks professionally done, and is MUCH cheaper!

The stickers are really cute but out of my budget, too.

My 3 first grade team members are choco-holics (M&Ms in particular) so I know they'll love it.

Better buy an extra bag for me (I'm a bit of a chocoholic myself)

M&M idea
Old 07-26-2007, 06:47 PM

Clip to ScrapBook #19

One of our teachers made the M&M Rx for all the teachers in our school... because she was making so many she did not give us all a bag of M&Ms. She used the cylinder container of mini M&Ms and wraped the prescription around the bottle. I have also seen it used with real prescription bottles. Just another idea that might not cost as much if you are making them for a lot of people.
