Anyone else at home today?

I'm home today trying to get some things done in between car accident business. I woke up at 7 and cleaned a bathroom. Now I'm on a little break before I change the bed linens and put away laundry. I can't really make any calls or anything until about 11, so why not get weekend cleaning done now? If I get enough done, it'll be time for a movie later.

Anyone else home today?

Laryngitis for me so my goal is to do some work on report cards in between laundry and whatever else will help me procrastinate. This is my third day day and I'm wondering if I will have to call Monday as well.

We just finished parent/teacher conferences. When we do conferences, we work 8-8 on Wednesday and Thursday, and then get Friday off. I'm planning on doing some reading for a class I'm taking, and laying around trying to get rid of a cold. Can't do laundry because my washing machine is broken. Can you hear me saying, "Awwww!" The repairman may come today, but I hope it's not this morning. I'm sitting here in my nightgown, eating cereal and drinking tea.
Enjoy your day off.

I am home too with little/no voice! Been going on since last Saturday! Not sure if it's laryngitis or what though! Worked Monday and Wednesday this week thinking I was better.
This is my third day this week home sick. I also can't stop coughing.

I have been on fall break yesterday & today. Yesterday I managed to clean out all of the kitchen cabinets and the pantry. I need to clean the fridge today, then start on the rest of the house.

Home sick here... went home sick yesterday. I most likely have bronchitis, today marks day 8 of coughing. I have a drs appointment this afternoon, hopefully can get some drugs to calm this cough down. I'm coughing my way to a six pack right now!

I truly needed a mental health day and time to get caught up on everything! My allergies have been terrible for the past month....fall and I have a love/hate relationship! I am so behind on everything in life right now and the next two weeks are going to be crazy with homecoming coming up! It's my DS's senior year, I'm the class sponsor, so I have to be in charge of the skit, float, and banner, and DS is a homecoming king nominee! Fun stuff, but exhausting on top of over the top lesson plans, report cards going home next week so tons of grading to catch up on, and tutoring two days a week after school!!! My DD is coming home for the weekend and iI want to enjoy my time with her and also enjoy the wedding I'm going to tomorrow evening, so, for my sanity I took the day off... Now....I NEED to get off my lazy butt and get some more accomplished before I have to shower and rush to town to help sort hundreds of Little Caesar's pizza kits (senior fundraiser) and deliver mine....and then come home and get ready for the football game tonight Life is good and I am blessed though! Y'all enjoy your day at home.....

I have my own education business that relys on students at client schools. I don't have any students on Friday this year so I get my Fridays off.

My husband and I are on our way to St. Louis for the weekend. Cardinals playoff game tonight, and a Rams game on Sunday.

Took the day off to work on my side business. I sell antiques and there is a huge outdoor sale this weekend. The hubs took the day off to help. So far we have read the paper, checked FB and are getting ready to go out to breakfast. Hmmmm maybe I best get a move on it!

YES! Our fall break was yesterday and today. I have been somewhat productive. Resting mostly with some cleaning in between.

Not "off" but at a conference so not in the classroom. Of course it runs tomorrow too so I'm giving up a day of my weekend.

Sounds like you're having quite a productive day! I was home on Wednesday because DD had to see her counselor at noon. While she was at school and everyone else at work I got both bathrooms cleaned, got a load of laundry done and cleaned the kitchen! On the way home from her appointment we stopped at school so I could get ready for the next day, then I went to work out! It felt so good to have all that done by dinner time!
