I am a first grade teacher with a turtle theme. Does anyone have any ideas how I can decorate my classroom door with turtles? I am looking for something catchy and fun. Thanks!

I would cover the door in green paper. Then make a blue pond with curving edges. Add lilypads to the pond so some turtles can be on them. Add a log and rocks around the pond so some turtles can be there. Add bunches of grass so some turtles can be there. Add cattails at the edge of the pond so some turtles can be there.

I do not have any ideas for a catchy phrase at the top of the door.

Here's a little bit on Yertle the Turtle. Maybe this will help. It's towards the bottom.

I like COnnie's idea with Welcome to the Pond at the top.

Or names on turtles and stack the turtles on top of each other with the title Turtle Tower (reminds me of MNT's Turtle Power).

If you have the room around your door you could turn your whole door into a huge turtle. Cover the door with shell and continue the shell in rounded edges on the walls beside and above the door, attach legs, head, and tail (maybe off to one side). I would probably use green paper and draw a few hexagons here and there. You could add pictures or names of kids inside the hexagons. Write "We Shell Have A Great Year"
