Anyone have any good resources for teaching Russian speaking kindergarten students who are classified as Non-English speaking?

I have a ton of things that work with Spanish speaking students, but since the alphabets aren't the same, the student is really struggling...

So, he speaks Russian but he is not a language learner? So, does that mean he is fluent in English? If so, what is the problem?

Oh, sorry. In my state, that's how they classify students who cannot speak any English at all. So I think on the WIDA scale, that'd be an ELP Level 1.

Oral language first

Work first on his oral language, so he can communicate. Social vocabulary, school vocabulary, simple sentences. Lots and lots of pictures and labels.

I wouldn't be worrying too much about the change of alphabet - at Kindy age, he'll soon catch that up when he can communicate.
