I have a 4th period General Spanish class. Any Span teachers out there? What do you do to make it engaging and interactive? Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help!!

While I do not teach Spanish, I took many language courses over the years. In high school, the best language teacher really made classes come alive. We read Dante's work in Italian, wrote and acted out our own plays, had cultural celebrations (during which we had to speak in Italian for at least 25% of the time), made and taught our own interactive lessons, created our own videos using scripts we wrote by ourselves or in groups, took community trips to ethnic restaurants (where we spoke primarily in Italian), listened to Italian music and wrote our own, etc... Students loved his approach so much that they tried to get permission to get out of French, Spanish and others to enroll in Italian classes.
