Maybe I'm wrong but I reading her response. I don't think the woman should have last her job. Even the kid didn't see anything wrong.

That's my type of humor, inherited or indoctrinated through my Dad. It was gentle teasing, IMO. The woman who was fired is taking the high road, but I don't think she did anything wrong.

Seriously, we as a people need to be completely upset by things like this (if it is indeed true). There is no reason why people can't joke around about things anymore. It could be one of us next.

and I'm surprised, too. I think firing her was inappropriate. Maybe I'm glad that I didn't apply to that district.

I LOVED her response. Seriously, she was using a teachable moment and did nothing wrong. I sent the district a message of complaint on this one, since it went viral nationally.

I think the district in question lost a very good employee who has a great positive attitude! What fools! When did pointing out a student error become a reason to be fired?
