I just contacted both senators's offices by phone. I called their local offices as I got a repeated busy signal from Washingtion. It's not over till it's over.

2 Republican senators have decided to oppose DeVos

ONE more, we need ONE more

I hope everyone will call this weekend. We can block her if we convince one senator.

Not approve DeVos for SOE? Not gonna happen. This has all been a scripted drama and Pence will break the tie with his vote. One of the senators mentioned in the Huffington article had constituents who have described how the drama would play out. So far the actors are all repeating their lines and when the curtain goes down, DeVos will be the SOE. No one will step up to be the hero.

The Dems are currently doing 24 hours of speaking against the nomination before the vote tomorrow. I just saw one of my senators speaking on FB live. I'm thankful for their support, but I don't see it changing anything .

I am not giving up hope yet.

Give a call! Just got this on Facebook (reliable post!)

North Carolina's Thom Tillis's office says he's undecided and wants to hear from people. (202) 224-6342

Don't trust him. According to the "crooked" media he ties with another politician for second highest contribution from her, more than $70,000. I would be overjoyed to discover I'm wrong but the NC legislature has not been kind to public schools in the past few years. Frankly, I'm not sure it matters since those in power appear to believe that charter schools are superior. IMO, they just see charter schools as another income source. There are so many hard working public school teachers across the country. Teachers don't deserve the bashing they/you are dealing with. Yet you keep doing what you do so well, day after day.

I understand there are some excellent charter schools with excellent teachers. But IMO, for profit, non-transparent charter schools should not be funded with taxpayers' money.
