So today we received our EOG scores. I teach Math. Our math scores were awful. About a 50% proficiency rate.

If you teach in NC, how were your scores? This is my 2nd year in 4th grade and my scores were better than last year, but still low.

We received ours last week and I couldn't believe how bad they were. This is my 19th year of teaching and they seem to get lower every year. We took a practice EOG that our district math person made for us and used the percents the state issued a couple of years ago to determine possible scores. Most of the EOG scores were way off from them, lower of course. I wish I could figure out what's going on. I've heard that other schools had bad 4th grade math scores also.

What part of NC are you in? I'm in central NC. I've heard from friends at two other school that their fourth grade math scores were low too. I looked at the printout that shows the graph. The part for level one was half, and the other half was divided up for levels 2.3.4 and 5!

I'm in eastern NC. I have not seen the graph for our entire 4th grade, but the other math teacher and I discussed our scores. We both had below 50% proficient in each of our classes.
