I am a gifted specialist searching for professional reads on how teachers (& myself) can develop/improve their HOT questioning in the classroom. Here are three books that have interested me. Has anyone read any of these and/or suggest any of these? Thank you!

Now That's a Good Question! How to Promote Cognitive Rigor Through Classroom Questioning (Eric Francis)

Thinking Through Quality Questioning: Deepening Student Engagement (Jackie Walsh & Beth Sattes)

Making Thinking Visible: How to Promote Engagement, Understanding, and Independence for All Learners (Ron Ritchhart, Mark Church, Karin Morrison)

Our gifted staff read that as a group. It is a great book and has a ton of strategies for really bumping up the level of discourse in a classroom.

Our school used this a book study. The strategies and thinking routines are great. Even some of my lowest students were making deeper connections and asking some thoughtful questions. The web site provides the strategies in an easy format. There are also some great You Tube videos that show teachers modeling some of the strategies.
