Envision Math?

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I just got hired in a new district, and they use Envision for their math curriculum. I'll be teaching 5th. My previous school (where I also taught 5th) used My Math. I taught using Envision before (2nd and 6th), but that was during my student teaching and before Common Core.

Does anyone out there use it? Pros? Cons? Things that are too hard/too easy? Do you supplement? Just wondering how others are doing with it.

As a side note, I have always used a math workshop approach, and would like to continue that this year, if possible. If you use a workshop set up, how have you made it work with Envision?

Thanks!

I recommend going on Pearson's training site and watching their training videos. They are new in the last few months but they show you how Envision math is "supposed" to be taught. They are free - and multiple hours of viewing pleasure. 😊
