Spelling Program?

Anyone have a spelling program they absolutely love? At the moment, we have nothing formal in place. We're using Treasures because that's what we have the resources for. We looked at Words Their Way (I've used it in the past at other schools), but we're afraid it'll be too time-consuming and we're already taking on new curriculum from our district in Reading, Writing, and Math. Is there anything you absolutely love that won't take hours to plan each week? Thanks in advance!

It's old, but I like the 2000/2004 Zaner-Bloser Spelling Connections. You can get he teacher editions for like 10 bucks on Amazon.

We use Word Journeys and I despise it! It takes up so much time and I don't think it helps them at all. I have had better success teaching Greek and Latin roots/affixes than doing 'spelling' lessons.

We use the Sadlier vocabulary workshop for spelling. We dumped the treasure spelling program and now are getting rid of Treasures reading. We also got more departmentalized this year and I will only be teaching Grammar, spelling and LA along with my social studies that I teach to 4th and 5th. We all like the Sadlier program. It is much better than the Treasures. There are less words but they are more difficult. We felt that Treasure was way to easy and they needed harder words. The kids also start to pick up the meaning of the word and will remember seeing them in other subjects or literature.
