So I've had several interviews since moving back to Michigan and all of them seem to be in the districts that are similar to what I"ve escaped from in my former assignment. I can't do it, not with everything that's happened. I've had one offer and I decided not to take it since the place is so similar to where I spent the last seven years. Looks like it might be another industry for me for a few years or unless I win the lottery and open my own school. I just can't do the same type of assignment ...and the one thing I've learned about this whole experience...it's ok to say no.

I taught in an inner city school down in NC for seven years, the school that I got the offer from was on the outer edge of Saginaw but it was also inner city. I'd like to try country for a bit but I'll most likely sub for a year.
