Its sad for the students who want to learn, behave, and enjoy school. Most of all, its sad for the future when this generation of no consequences, no accountability students grow up.

The constant pressure and rising expectations from admin. districts and parents is unbelievable. I left this past year for similar reasons. Teaching isn't enjoyable anymore.

first year teacher who was an engineer. She was the perfect balance of maturity, fairness, innovation and dedication. Not only did she have a class from he_ _ she had a student that would depict her decapitated, bludgeoned, and dismembered in graphic illustrations. Because the teacher actually feared for her life she requested the student be switched to another class! What did admin. do? Have a restorative circle for 2 1/2 hours and mom refused to have her removed. Mom stated that the girl wanted to remain in class with her friends and the teacher should switch classes. I heard it took the girl 2 hours and 15 min. into the meeting to apologize before being let back to class. . . .Today restorative justice circle. . .tomorrow clemency for murder.

It's sad to see many caring teachers leave. Personally, I wish there would be a HUGE teacher shortage as maybe that's what is needed to wake this country up!
