Are you required to celebrate Constitution Day?

Do you have any great resources?

This is a new REQUIREMENT this year - yet we have been given no suggestions/guidance.

TIA

Yes, it is a requirement if you receive federal funds. By the way, it has been a requirement for many years.

My district has required we teach something about it since the beginning. When my now high school-aged son was in elementary school, I asked the school what they were planning for Constitution Day and they didn't know anything about it. The district quickly got their act together and came up with some activities when they found out it was required.

There are many resources available online. Here's a link to the U.S. Department of Education website that has some information and resources.

It has been a law for many years but few people seem to know that. When you google it, be sure to add "pdf". There sure are a bunch more resources now.
