Clip to ScrapBook #3

We completed the following team building activities this week - one each day:

- the cup stacking mentioned in this post
- stacking index cards or playing cards to create the highest tower.
- relay races - carrying a plastic egg in a spoon, walking with a beanbag on your head, etc.
- with 4 pieces of uncooked spaghetti, tape, and some foil, build the tallest free standing tower that will stay upright with a marshmallow on the top. This was a bit difficult for 3rd graders.
- students form a circle and hold hands. One student has a hula hoop on one arm. The team passes the hoop all around the circle without using their hands. Had two teams to compete.

Hope you can use some of these ideas. We had a lot of fun and much reflection on working as a team.

Make butter in a jar!! All the kids have to work together to turn the cream into butter! Then you all get to eat it!
