I just got a call from my sister telling me her barn caught on fire. No animals were hurt, but there was a lot of equipment inside that was damaged. Luckily since I'm retired I can go there tomorrow and help get things cleaned up.

Amen sista! Im sorry to hear this sad news but glad you could be there for her.

Our retirement has allowed us to be there for family when needed and without the guilt of missing work. I retired and 3 months later my oldest son was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I could be there to provide support for him anytime I was needed. Our retirement is a gift from God.

I agree that it was all God's plan that I was not at school this year. Two teachers have died since school started. I am able to spend time with family, friends and volunteer work. When I start to feel a bit guilty I think of all the hours i spent after school, weekends, and in the summer. I am so glad no animals were hurt. I hope the equipment is able to run. So glad yo can go there.
