What sort of games or activities could I do to engage the students with some creative vocabulary review?

Memory?

I've helped my own son practice at home by playing "Memory" with pairs of cards - one with the word and with the definition.

If your class can handle it, you can also hide cards (or eggs with slips of paper in them) around the room while they're at "specials." When they find a word, they have to match it to the definition on the board.

"Find Your Partner" is fun, too. I usually do it with little ones learning math facts that total 10, but it could be easily adapted. - Write the words and definitions on separate slips, and mix them all up in a hat/bag/whatever. Each student draws one, then they get up and move around to find the person that has the word or definition that matches theirs.

You could create a Kahoot review game or let the students create one.

What about Jeopardy?

It is a lot of work to make the original board the first time, but it can be used over and over.

I have also seen pre-made Jeopardy boards on teacher store websites and catalogs.
