I'm not sure if I've ever before seen this kind of story about a substitute teacher. It's about the one, so far unidentified, who tried to intervene at the Riverside, CA school where the first grade teacher was held hostage. In the process, he suffered a broken nose and other facial injuries.

Let's hope his medical expenses are completely covered. As a substitute, he certainly went way above and beyond the call of duty!

but I sure hope the district is taking good care of him! We need more people like that to step up when they can!
