How do you sign your students up for Khan Academy? What is the easiest way?

I did it a few years ago, and I thought I had finagled it where I didn't have togo through that extra step of having their parents sign them up.

Now, I can't seem to remember how I did it.

There is a button on there for teachers, then you can just give your kids a code to join your 'class'. I think they might need an account already for that, our just link their google accounts, but I would love to be able to create them for them if there is a way.

have you ever watched some of the videos? It's basically old-school direct instruction in video form...

To me, that seems to show that they need some basic "how-to". Constructivist learning all the time, just isn't the best way to learn.

Nope. With their new update over the summer, it requires parents to sign them up and approve coaches.

It was a nightmare for us at the beginning of the year.

Thanks! That is what I was afraid of. I am only planning on using it with my gifted kids (4), so maybe I can get the ball rolling...
