And it is awesome!

1/2 gal grape juice I crushed pear, tiny bit cinnamon, 1 cup sugar, I pkt yeast.

I put a balloon over the neck of the juice bottle, vented it a little. Ten days later, its done.

It's awesome and cost three dollars.

Isn't it fun???!!!!

I love the way you played with including pear and cinnamon. What a great combination.

I have 15 gallons of rhubarb and 5 gallons of plum wine down in the cellar aging. The specific gravity and flavors are awesome, but it needs to clarify a bit more. So, I'll wait another month or so and rack the carboys again. Bottling will probably be in December.

I also have 14 pounds of chokecherries in the freezer and need to start 5 gallons of that, but just haven't had the time.

eckraus.com is really an awesome site for the beginner wine maker.

I also received great advice from a local wine/beer supply store. They even have a "Beginner's Kit," with most everything you need to make your first 5 gallons!
