What a day!

I stayed late after school to grade my papers and prepare an art project for my students. I went out to go home at 6:00. It was freezing cold and the north wind was blowing like crazy. When I got to my car, I found that I had a flat tire. Bah, humbug. I'm not allowed to lift more than 10 pounds, so I can't change the tire. I have a pump in my trunk that my dad gave me years ago. I plugged it into my car and turn it on. It worked but it took 30 minutes to get my tire pumped up enough to drive. I only live 1/2 mile from school, so I went ahead and drove after pumping 30 minutes. Sure glad to get home.

Dang...I probably would have walked home. You can walk it faster than the pump can inflate!

I'm glad that you made it home safely. What a crummy way to end your school day. I hope that you had a big mug of hot cocoa when you made it home.

Sorry about the flat. I guess you will get it fixed tomorrow. Hope the rest of your evening goes smoothly.

Not the way to end your day! Glad you were able to get it "fixed" to at least get home.

Hope you are resting with your feet up!

This is a good reminder to us all to check our cars for winter supplies. Perhaps your rotten afternoon will help someone out or save a life. Go check those cars for supplies!

I bet you were indeed glad to get home! I hope by now you are sleeping peacefully and your car is ready to go when you get up in the morning!
