I need ideas for gifts to buy DH for Christmas. What are you doing for your DH/SO?

Nothing .

We don't exchange gifts.

What about a date night, subscription box, or pass to a museum?

Bought mine a cover for his truck bed. If I don't, he will buy it anyway.

All things he asked for: a pair of corduroy pants, an alumni sweatshirt from the college he attended, and a pair of slippers.

The biggest, baddest 32GB Kindle Amazon sells! With a leather cover. He's gonna be happy.

I usually don't have good gift ideas for my DH, but this year is different. I'm giving him this bowl. It was made by a woman who took woodcarving lessons from his dad. We now consider her part of the family. I'm so excited!

- military-style bomber jacket
- nice black jeans with this sheen to them
- watch
- art supply store GC

I want to get a couple more things, but I'm still thinking.

I got my DH a Amazon Kindle, as well! He travels frequently and wanted something to watch movies and TV shows. We already have Prime so I figured it would be a perfect gift!

I also got him a fancy growler since he brews kombucha for our family!

I'm getting mine one of those smart thermostats and an Amazon device that it will "talk" to. I'm thinking I'm going to hear a lot of Alexa conversations in the near future.

Just ordered him a new Stanley travel mug, a fold- up rocker for the porch and a lunchbox . Practical and useful, just the kind of gifts he best appreciate s.

My DH needed a new laptop,so I encouraged him to buy one as his Christmas gift at a Black Friday sale at staples. Then I bought him a couple of warm up suits that he needs. He always has suggestions as Christmas gets closer!

We usually don't exchange gifts. However, this year we're going to do stockings only. He's an avid biker, so I'll pick up some knick knacks from the bike store. I'll put in some chocolate for good measure.

My DH tends to shop for himself

most years so I never get anything big.

I got him Peeps (eyeglass cleaners,) Tiles (the locator chip) for his keys and such and a Bluetooth adapter for our older vehicle so his phone will work through the radio in it.

All of those items are tiny. He also talked about wanting one of those Copper Chef grilling pans. I'm torn though as I never allowed him to get me House stuff over the years. I may get it and just let him be the one to unwrap it.

Nothing here either! We pool all our money together so it's kind of silly to buy each other gifts. We really rather have a date night together than any other gift.

DH is so hard to buy for

He bought himself a rifle about 2 weeks ago and I'm seriously tempted to wrap up the receipt!

I do have him an AncestryDNA kit, which is the only thing he's asked for in our almost 10 years of marriage. I've got him a few books I think *hope* he'll enjoy and a package of boxers because he needs them.

I have been searching the internet for a Shaw Air Force Base baseball cap or one from the TAC. So far I haven't found one.
We don't usually do gifts.

My Husband is difficult to buy for too
Old 12-07-2017, 11:49 AM

He got a flat multiple times on his dolly. So I bought him a new dolly.

He needed a yardstick recently a couple of times for something he was working on and we do not have one. So I bought him a nice metal yardstick.

He has to see the dentist quarterly to have teeth cleaned so I got him a waterpik in hopes that it will help him keep his teeth cleaner.

I bought him a nice divided pan to cook his breakfast each morning. He can cook the eggs on one side and the sausage on the other at the same time.
He usually uses just one pan and cooks his sausage first then removes it and cooks his eggs. This divided pan will help him cook breakfast faster.

I think after this year Iím gonna suggest to dh we donít do gifts. Now that weíre married itís kinda silly. But this year I got him-

- cornhole scoreboard ( to go with the boards he has)
- football related t shirt. He wanted this very specific shirt that I had to look everyplace for but I was so vindicated when I found it.
- nfl hat ( I already gave him this bc he was going to a game)
- sperrys

DH gift

My DH usually just buys whatever he wants when he wants it, so he's hard to shop for.

He's a US Navy submarine veteran from the 70's, so I found a baseball cap with the name of the sub he served on and USN logo, and a USN veteran submarine silent service logo T shirt, license plate frame, and coffee mug. Might be overkill but I think he will like them. There are lots of snowbirds where we live and he is very introverted, so any of these items might get him involved in an actual conversation with some other USN veteran somewhere around town.

I already posted above, but as we're shopping now, we've gotten some things he's already ran across that he wants or needs NOW, so 1/2 of his gifts we already bought! So much for being surprised, but, that's how it goes sometimes!

I also got him:

- wallet
- gloves
- few DVD movies

Jeans
A new wedding ring. He lost his and he doesn’t wear it to work so just a Qalo one.

He wants a gun or gun safe- not happening. No $$ for that.

Also, he went on a 10 day Alaska hunting trip in September. So I’m using that for a looooong time.

Money for a trip to Montana in January to see our son play college basketball.

Many years we do that type of thing instead of buying gifts.

He asked about "My Pillow", so I ordered 2 of those for him.

I also always get him cologne and a Polo t-shirt in a different color each year (he says they're super soft).

We don't do gifts anymore. This is the first year no gifts for the kids. They're getting too old now. They get anything they want anyway
