He's coming home!

The PT people at the hospital say that he has made so much progress, he doesn't have to go to rehab. He still can't climb stairs, but the only thing he needs is the shower up there, and he won't be showering for another week or two anyway. They are providing the walker and have set up physical therapy for him. I have gotten almost ready. Need to get his office set up on the dining room table (ugh!), go Next Door and get one of the lift chairs (recliner), and clear a table from our hallway so he can get the walker through comfortably. That will happen tomorrow with son and hired man's help. I'm still nervous about him being home. But I'm so happy too. Ask me tomorrow night, though......

Sounds like good news! I know he will be happy to be home! Sending prayers for an easy transition for you both.

Hope he doesn't drive you crazy. But I'm almost glad he isn't going to rehab. Some times people pick up new germs which makes recovery harder. Do I understand that PT will be coming to him?

Where is he sleeping?

Make sure if you have any throw rugs or area rugs to get those up too. No need to had a piece of the, walker catch in the edge a rug and cause a fall.

Sleeping and other answers

He will be sleeping in the recliner. It goes flat. He will be receiving PT and OT at home. In a couple more weeks, they will give him a brace so he can bend his leg. That will make things easier. Fun days ahead, right?
